ANTHOLOGY COMING SOON TO KINDLE AND PAPERBACK!

Submissions are now closed. We will reopen them pending the success/break even point of the first two volumes. Authors are being informed of acceptance, rejection, or "hold" status.

Here is the original CFP, for clarity's sake. SUBMISSIONS ARE CLOSED, however.

Deadline: Dec 1-Jan 31. Send to: indiewomenantho@gmail.com

Open call for Women Indie Published (or new published, or indie supportive traditionally published) authors to contribute to an anthology called Independent Women. The anthology will consist of short stories (flash fiction included), poetry, essays, artwork, or any other woman and/or feminist centered creative work. Upper limit on short stories will be 10,000 words. All genres will be considered, but explicit erotica (anything over PG 13) is for another time.

Intersectionality, WOC, and disabled, trans, or GLB/GSD* (Gender and Sexual Diversities) authors and/or story focuses will be especially appreciated.

Deadline will be January 31 with a goal of publication on International Women's Day, March 8, 2016.

After paying contributors & covering costs, all profits will be donated to The Pixel Project

Copyrights for each piece would be with original author/artist, but separate publication would be asked to be delayed 6 weeks. After that, individual publication would be encouraged.

Susan Kaye Quinn will write the foreword.

Please share with anyone you might know who you think might be interested.

Feminist allies are welcome to share the invite and we would like to have a second "We are Feminists Too" themed anthology if this one takes off (which will be Volume 3, given funding).

*However, for this first anthology only women authors will be published.*

Submissions can be sent to indiewomenantho@gmail.com no earlier than Dec1 or later than Jan 31. MS Word attachment, 1.5 spaced lines, Times New Roman font.
